Mike Lauer
, who thirty years ago stepped in for his father Earl after leaving a Randall Foods management position, leads Lauer Insurance Agency.

Succeeding in the insurance business with the integral help of his wife Linda, the couple have raised four children and are now blessed with a like number of grandchildren.

Known for his celebration of Christmas, come September he is already at work lighting his seasonal Snow Village, a labor of love that is welcomed and joined in by friends and neighbors.

Mike is now focused on guiding the agency through a transition that will eventually place daughters Rebecca and Mary in charge.

Rebecca Lauer-Flaten is a 2003 graduate of Winona State University with a degree in Finance.  After college, Rebecca began a career in banking in Winona, but in 2004 she happily returned to Eau Claire and joined her dad’s business.

Rebecca is married to John Flaten, a middle school teacher at a local school.  Son Andrew accompanied mom to work for the first eight months of his life.  Now that’s a family business!

Mary Lauer holds a Human Resources degree from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

As early as high school, Mary worked part-time at Lauer Insurance Agency and completed a DECA internship.

A post college nationwide job search in hope of fun and adventure led to guess where?  That’s right, Eau Claire!  Having gained experience in HR at a local corporation, Mary felt pulled to the family agency to aid the transition of the business.
